Another Contest!

Just in time for the holidays it's another give-away! With a generous donation from Kitchen Kitchen, in Indian Wells, California, I've put together some of the "toys" I've talked about in previous posts. Kitchen Kitchen is a treasure trove of fun kitchen gadgets, both usual and unusual. I knew I'd find some items that you can't find in a typical kitchen store. From top to bottom: First, a microplane, just like the one I used in the "Give It A Whirl" post. Next is a small off-set spatula. I haven't used this in any posts yet, but I use that little spatula a lot. It's just the right size for spreading in smaller areas. Third, is the zester/channel knife. You can see me using that in the "I Love You" post. Fourth, is the tomato shark. I've had my shark since cooking school. It's used for coring out a tomato, but I also use it to hull strawberries. Next is a set of tiny measuring spoons. They are labeled, "dash", "pinch" and "smidgen", but I measured them out and the dash is the equivalent to 1/8 tsp. I use the 1/8 tsp a lot when baking and it's not usually included in a set of standard measuring spoons.
The last one is a 15" wooden spoon. This one is light weight and long. A lot of wooden spoons I've tested are too awkward and heavy, or just not long enough. I prefer a wooden spoon to any other. This prize is a $40 value and comes in a Kitchen Kitchen cloth grocery bag.
All you have to do to be eligible is "like" my  "What A Girl Eats" Facebook page and leave a comment on any post. You can also comment via Networked Blogs or directly through Google Friend Connect on my blogspot. Yes, this is another shameless ploy to get more followers! Please submit comments by December 5th. I will post the name of the winner on December 8th. If I don't know you or don't have your address, just remember to check back so that I can contact you if you win.
